Nana Amoako-Anin
Nana [500-HR E-RYT® & YACEP® Yoga Alliance Continuing Ed Provider] is the founder of Bliss Yoga Accra. The studio is one of Ghana’s first boutique yoga studios and is now a 13-year institution that has helped shape the country’s modern wellness landscape.

As a practitioner of yoga for over 20 years, Bliss Yoga Accra began as more than a studio — it began as Nana’s personal path to healing. After years of building a demanding legal/banking career in the U.S., Nana discovered yoga as a refuge. What started as a way to find balance in her own life quickly grew into a calling: to share the practice with others searching for peace, strength, and renewal. When Nana returned to Ghana, she dreamed of creating a space where people could lay down the weight of the world and reconnect with themselves. A place that felt both grounding and uplifting, open to everybody and every journey.

Impact
With 13 years of leadership, 150+ licensed teachers, 800 + members, over 4000 classes offered, and credited with galvanising yoga as a lifestyle in Ghana. In recognition of Nana's impactful work, she was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2020 by the Tony Elumelu Foundation, a leader in impact investing with a $100 million commitment to support 10,000 entrepreneurs over ten years. She was also invited by the Biden White House to participate in a roundtable in Accra, gathering leading Ghanaian businesswomen to discuss key issues affecting the state of entrepreneurship in Africa, during Kamala Harris' historic visit to Ghana in 2023.
